The Hollister Airmen’s Association has been enthusiastically celebrating over 70 years of serving Hollister Municipal Airport and the community since 1946. It has worked and collaborated with many organizations and community groups on special projects, events and educational endeavors.
Members have served on the Hollister City Council, the Airport Advisory Commission, and the Airport Land Use Commission, along with many other community boards.
They published a history of the airport entitled “From Grass Strip to Airport” and have presented scholarships to students pursuing careers in aviation technology and have been a sponsor for various airshows and air fairs at Hollister Airport. Their popular monthly meetings include speakers, videos and demonstrations. You don’t have to be a pilot to join, just be interested in aviation and meeting others with the same interests.
Members have advocated for and celebrated general aviation and the Hollister Airport for seven decades and look forward to the exciting future of aviation.
